  • We offer at least 10 different concerts per year featuring classical, chamber, pops and special music programming

  • We offer new subscribers a discount of 50% off single ticket prices
  • All students and children may come to classical and chamber concerts for only $10. Area music students can come for free to any concert to further their music education
  • All classical series concerts are rebroadcast throughout our region on WSKG Public Radio

Financial Stewardship

  • Over 70% of our annual budget is spent on concert production
  • The Binghamton Philharmonic is a viable arts organization for the long term. As of June 30, 2011, our endowment was valued at over $1.4 million and we have been serving the community for 56 years.
  • More than half of our budget is spent in Broome County
  • Binghamton Philharmonic expenses in the last seven years have grown on average less than the cost of inflation
  • The size of our core audience is stable. The number of subscriber households is at an eight year high.

Community Education and Outreach

  • The Binghamton Philharmonic sends ensemble groups to perform in area schools
  • The Binghamton Philharmonic provides to Binghamton University's adult education program Lyceum at no charge - the popular Backstage at the Binghamton Philharmonic course
  • The Binghamton Philharmonic provides at no charge master classes by our principal players for the young musicians of the Binghamton Youth Symphony Orchestra to help them with their concert preparation and provide reduced price concert tickets to BYSO families
  • The Binghamton Philharmonic collaborates widely with other local arts organizations and performers including the Binghamton University Chorus, Madrigal Choir, Galumpha, the Burns Sisters, Roberson Museum and Tri-Cities Opera
  • The Binghamton Philharmonic presents a free informal and informative pre-concert talk before every classical series concert to educate our audience on what they are about to hear and also provides program notes online and in the program book
